About the NCCB Scholarship Program
The members of the North Carolina Council of the Blind are pleased to announce the availability of three (3) $1,000.00 Scholarships for blind and/or visually impaired high school students, college, professional and vocational school students. Our organization and affiliates of the American Council of the Blind strive to increase the independence, security, equality of opportunity and quality of life for all blind and visually impaired persons. Interested students should complete the enclosed application and return it to the NCCB Secretary by May 1, 2019. The scholarship committee will review all applications; including, at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee, a telephone interview and then recommend the names of suggested recipients to the Executive Board. The chair of the scholarship committee will notify the scholarship recipient by telephone and by email or postal mail. The scholarship check will be written directly to the student as chosen on the scholarship application or forwarded to the student’s choice of school in one payment; to be credited to the 2019-2020 school year.
We wish you the very best in your educational endeavors.
